Cisco Voice Engineer

(Full Time)

Job Description

Provide day-to-day remote management and support for large, distributed Cisco UC rollouts.  Responsibilities span site readiness assessments and preparation through deployments and cut overs.  Primary responsibilities include:  providing technical support to internal project managers and field engineers, reviewing and ensuring pre-deployment site surveys are complete and meet all customer requirements, assisting in the review of  site readiness surveys for managed Internet service and preparation of quotations to remediate any discovered issues.  Excellent problem solving, organizational and analytical skills are required, and your contributions will be vital to the overall success of the projects.

Requirements

  • Experience with Cisco network design, operational support, and hands-on implementation and configuration of routers, switches, and cabling in a large enterprise LAN/WAN/WLAN environment including functional understanding of the following Cisco Unified Communication Products: Voice:  VoIP Support and Deployment, Routers: basic configuration and HWICs and Switches:Ethernet, VLANs, and PoE.
  • Must be familiar with inside wiring concepts (EMT, innerduct, MPOE, etc.)
  • Basic troubleshooting skills. Must be able to quickly identify and resolve issues.
  • Must be able to clearly interact with the end users, field technicians, project managers, and management teams. Must be able to participate and represent the team in ongoing status meetings.
  • Previous experience in a large-scale deployments preferred.
  • CCNA Voice or CCNP Voice OR CCNP with hands-on voice experience required.  CCIE (any discipline) is a plus.
  • Requires 4-6 years of related work experience, Bachelor's degree, technical training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of data communications as it relates to the local telco providing new circuits.
  • Must be familiar with and understand outside path (OSP) concepts (trenching, directional boring, arial attachment, etc.)

Project Coordinator

(Full-Time / Possible Telecommute)

Job Description

Responsible for post-sales project management for iTeam’s unique Service-as-a-Product IT installation services. For the self-directed individual with a passion for customer service, this is an opportunity to work on interesting projects all around the country without ever leaving your office. Includes working with account managers, field engineers, and end customers to ensure success throughout the entire service lifecycle. Using the telephone and iTeam’s industry leading iPlatform software, you will be responsible for activities such as order entry, work order creation, scheduling, remediation, verifying the completion of the service(s), and releasing final payment to the field engineer. The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail. When chaos occurs, this position requires someone that can continue to stay focused and keep the projects on track. You must be able to prioritize your time and attention on-the-fly. The ability to work both independently and as a member of the team is a must. This is a full-time position for the right candidate. Telecommuting may be an option a few days a week after completing an introductory period in the office and subject to management approval.

The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously with high attention to detail. The ability to work both independently and as a member of the team is a must. This is a full time position in Westford, MA where telecommuting may be an option a few days a week after completing an introductory period in the office and subject to management approval.

Senior IT Consultant

(Part-Time or Full-Time, Possible Telecommute)

Job Description

Conduct pre- and post-sales support for iTeam’s unique Service-as-a-Product IT and AV installation services.  If you are ready to extend your skills beyond traditional remote and onsite client support, this position may be for you.  You will exercise and expand your working knowledge of many technical areas like networking, servers, workstations, VoIP, and audio/video, to name just a few.  Key to our approach is “packaging” your knowledge so that it is readily accessible and digestible by our project management staff, hundreds of onsite technicians, and thousands of solution sales reps.  

You will be on the front line of supporting North America’s premier technology channels as you manage multiple projects simultaneously while leveraging our iPlatform software and its embedded services catalog and quotation system.

  • Minimum five years’experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, supporting, and recommending technology in various business environments
  • Specific experience in networking, Windows-based servers and workstations, and audio/ video
  • Ability to learn and master new technologies in a fast paced environment
  • Willingness to travel as required (10%-25%)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Cisco, VMware, Microsoft, Juniper, and Sonicwall certification(s) desirable
